This cake was made for a bridal shower my friend is throwing. It's yellow cake with traditional buttercream filling covered in tiffany blue fondant. The ribbon and bow were made using white fondant. The engagement ring was made using fondant and silver luster dust while the "congrats" was painted on using food coloring. This was my first "Tiffany's" cake and was a lot of fun to do!

The difference a year can make...
About a year ago, I decided to try my hand at making cakes using fondant. My first creation was a pink and green polka-dotted cake for my little sister's sweet sixteen party. Fast forward a year, and I created a sushi cake for 17th birthday. The cake itself was chocolate with buttercream filling covered with marshmallow fondant. All the sushi decorations were also made from fondant. You can see how my skills have improved in the pictures.

Brady's 2nd Birthday Cake
I was so excited to make this cake. One of my good friends from high school had a beautiful baby girl 2 years ago. Brady Faith was born very prematurely and weighed in at only 1lb 7oz and 12 inches long! It is so amazing that now she is a healthy 2 year old...what a blessing!
My friend went with a Mickey Mouse Luau theme as Brady adores anything Disney. This was by far the most difficult and rewarding cake I've done. The bottom tier is chocolate cake with buttercream icing and the top is yellow cake with buttercream. The wave is actually made of yellow cake that I carved to make look like a wave for Mickey to surf. The sand is crumbled graham crackers and the "bamboo" is hazelnut chocolate filled cookies. Lastly, the hibiscus flowers are fondant!
(I also wanted to thank my friend's husband for the amazing picture of the cake!)

Sand Dollar Birthday Cake
This cake was made for my wonderful mother-in-law. She absolutely loves sand dollars so I thought it was a perfect addition to the cake. Both tiers are yellow cake with the bottom having chocolate buttercream filling and the top vanilla buttercream filling. The cake is also covered in fondant and the all the decorations are fondant.
Noah's 1st Birthday Cake
I made these cakes for the son of one of my best friends from high school. It was his first birthday so I did a big cake for everyone to eat and a little smash cake just for the little guy. The theme was monkeys and the cakes matched the decorations. For the big cake, it is yellow cake with buttercream icing and covered in vanilla marshmallow fondant. The monkey decorations are dark chocolate and peanut butter modeling chocolate. This cake was a blast to make and my first time working with modeling chocolate. The smash cake was yellow cake with chocolate buttercream.
